We focus in on two con-men based out of Louisville, Kentucky. They travel around to the neighboring states to evangelize the benefits of bluegrass over fescue and other such grass species.
Their scam is to travel to the suburbs to offer the free administration of various tests to assess the target lawn’s GHI (Grass Health Index). To ensure success, they prey on naïve 20-somethings who are married and own a golden doodle named Moose. Needless to say, their market is positively endless.
Upon receiving permission from the homeowners, they employ an army of dummy equipment and readers to make their act seem legit. They then provide the results to the homeowners, forging stats about hydration, acidity, etc.
Then, upon receiving further permission to uproot and replace the yard with bluegrass, they simply dig just a touch deeper, exhume the sprinkler system, and pawn off the copper for pennies on the pound. Find out if they make their millions or get bagged by the fuzz in...
